Trophy Hammock Outfitters

Hardee County’s Hidden Gem

The guided hog hunting game in North and Central Florida is an ever-changing game of newcomers and locations constantly changing their names. In Central Florida, there is basically one major exception to all of that – Trophy Hammock Outfitters. I cannot say enough good things about this place. There guides are extremely knowledgeable about the property and really work hard to go the extra mile to make every hunt special for the hunters, not just the cost of the hunt.

This is the place for hogs, they have more hogs than any other ranch we have visited. They have some deer and some alligators, but admittedly I’ve never harvested any other animals there. Below is a photo of some skinned alligators harvested by other hunters I saw before a recent hunt. I have seen a ton of turkeys there, but never taken a shot on one. They have big boar hogs, minus the one with 2.5 inch tusks, I harvested back in January 2024 during a night hunt. Hands down the biggest wild pig, I’ve ever killed, one shot to the left hind dropped him with a 308 Hornady Critical Defense round dropped him.

I have done night thermal hunts and daytime hunts with these guys. They have tons of hogs, generally seeing them in packs of 8-14 hogs at a time. Their guides work their feeders hard and the fence lines of the property thoroughly. Marlene, also known as the hog whisper, will stalk and stalk to make sure you are on pigs throughout their hunt. On a recent hunt in January 2024, they had massive orange peel piles throughout the property which aided in the hunt as the hogs were on the piles all day. The orange peels also gave the hogs a citrus flavor when cooked. My son has also done varmint hunts on the property for raccoons, armadillos, possums and rabbits. This property has them everywhere. These folks will customize your hunt for you and your family, not the one size fits all approach from other outfitters. I cannot recommend these folks enough. Give them a call today and let them know we sent you!
